Hi, I’m Maria.

I’m an International Creative Director at VML Portugal with over 15 years of experience bringing ideas to life across global agencies like Leo Burnett London, Saatchi & Saatchi, VCCP, and Wunderman Thompson UK.

I’ve worked with brands including Canon, Red Cross, Nestlé, Avon, HSBC, Domino’s, and Purina, creating campaigns that connect, move, and make people care.

I have a special love for Tech for Good — ideas that use creativity to make a positive impact.

After a decade in London, I returned to Portugal in 2023 to lead creative at VML, where I oversee work for UNICEF Global, Santander, Wells, and Compal. I develop campaigns, pitch ideas, guide projects from concept to completion, and help build environments where creativity and people can thrive.

Outside of advertising, I’m part artist, part psychologist, part firefighter, and sometimes even a magician.
But then again, isn’t that what being a true advertiser is all about?
